Those who grew up in the sixties and seventies remember with crystal insight the social revolutions addressing gender equality, racial inclusiveness and environmental consciousness. Retrospectively, we now know there are precious few opportunities in a lifetime to be part of constructive and seismic changes in values.
But it's happening again. Along with our European hosts, Carol Orsborn, Chuck Nyren and I saw glimmers of another revolution in values as we traversed the Old Continent. It is a revolution about aging. And it is happening today, in Europe.
We witnessed an awakening in the faces of our audiences, in the curiosity of journalists and in the level of responsiveness to our speeches.
Bayard Presse, an honored publisher in Europe, is leading a transformation of thought about the opportunities awaiting business and Western society as consumer markets decisively grow to favor those over 50.
Bayard's upbeat lifestyle magazines, aimed at Boomers, are delivering robust and trendy editorial about how this generation is defying aging stereotypes and learning to celebrate life after 50 as it has never been celebrated before.
From attentive audiences in seven European countries to the world's largest fair for those over 50 in Utrecht, Netherlands, we sensed something enduring and monumental blowing in the wind.
The following video will give you a sense of what I delivered and received on a most amazing adventure across Europe.
